Drill for Eggs Training Power
Manual clicks versus the auto-train zone — build Power for drills and Rebirth.
Power is the backbone of Drill for Eggs. It decides how hard you can push drills, how soon you hit the Rebirth threshold, and how your Level display climbs (Levels are Power milestones only). This guide covers manual LMB training, the auto-train zone near your base, and how to schedule training around steals and shop buys.
New players should skim Getting Started first, then return here when Power feels slow. Pair training with Steal Eggs and Rebirth so you know what you are training for.
Manual training (LMB)
On PC, left mouse button (LMB) trains Power. Click or hold according to how the live place responds — the important part is that active clicking is available whenever you are at a valid train spot. Manual training is best when:
- You are focused and can click steadily for a few minutes.
- You just failed a steal and need a quick Power bump before retrying.
- You are waiting on gestation and want every second to count.
Manual training loses value if you stop to open menus constantly. When you need to shop, switch to auto-train instead of abandoning Power entirely.
Auto-train zone near base
Near your base is an auto-train zone. Stand inside it and Power rises without spam-clicking. Use auto-train when:
- You are AFK for a short stretch but still in the server.
- You are comparing Drill Shop prices or reading the Index.
- You want steady Power while pets earn Cash in the background.
The auto-train zone is one of the biggest quality-of-life tools in Drill for Eggs. New players who only click and never stand in the zone leave free Power on the table. Make “return to auto-train between steals” a habit.
Power versus Cash versus Speed
These three resources solve different problems:
- Power — strength and unlock gate for Rebirth and tougher drilling.
- Cash — buys drills at the Drill Shop and funds progression purchases.
- Speed — bought from green buttons near the base; used to outrun guardians after a steal.
Training Power does not replace Speed. A high-Power player who skips Speed still gets caught. Likewise, Cash without Power buys drills you cannot fully exploit. Rotate: train → buy what you lack → steal → place egg → train again.
How Power feeds the Drill Shop
Drills are purchased with Cash, but Power decides whether a new drill actually helps your next zone. The shop can notify you when a drill becomes affordable. When that notifier fires, check Power as well as Cash. Buying Diamond or Electric (named drills players discuss in mid game) too early wastes Cash if your Power cannot support the zones those drills open.
A clean habit: when the affordable notifier appears, glance at Power, glance at Speed stock, then buy. If Power is far behind, spend a few minutes in the auto-train zone first.
Levels are Power milestones
The Level label in Drill for Eggs tracks Power milestones only. There is no separate XP dungeon or quest XP track for Levels. When a tip says “reach a higher Level,” it means keep training Power. After Rebirth, Power (and therefore Level) resets to 0 while your Cash multiplier stays — expected behavior, not a bug.
Training around the full loop
- Spawn or return to base.
- Stand in the auto-train zone or click LMB for a focused burst.
- Restock Speed at the green buttons if you plan a steal.
- Buy a drill when Cash and Power both look ready.
- Run the steal, escape, place the egg (see Steal Eggs).
- Return to training while gestation runs.
- Claim Index rewards on first-time pet unlocks, then repeat.
This loop keeps Power climbing even when you are not clicking. Pets earning offline Cash fund the next drill; Power you banked between runs makes that drill useful.
Common training mistakes
- Ignoring auto-train. Clicking only when you remember is slower than zoning between tasks.
- Training with empty Speed before hard zones. Power helps entry; Speed saves the egg.
- Rebirthing with no training plan. After the first 1.5x Cash Rebirth, Power is 0 — go straight to auto-train before greed steals.
- Chasing Level as a separate goal. Level is just Power milestones; train Power and Level follows.

Train with intent. Every Power point should move you toward a safer steal or a planned Rebirth, not a vanity Level number. Use manual LMB when you are locked in, live in the auto-train zone when you multitask, and Drill for Eggs rewards the schedule.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
How do I train Power in Drill for Eggs?
Use LMB to train manually, or stand in the auto-train zone near your base for hands-free Power gain.
Is auto-train better than clicking?
Auto-train is better while you manage menus or AFK briefly. Focused LMB clicking is better for short, intense bursts.
Does Power buy drills?
Drills cost Cash at the Drill Shop. Power determines whether you can make use of tougher drills and when you can Rebirth.
What are Levels in this game?
Levels are Power milestones only. Raise Power to raise Level; there is no separate XP system for Levels.
Should I keep training after Rebirth?
Yes. Rebirth resets Power to 0. Return to the auto-train zone immediately while your new Cash multiplier rebuilds the economy.
